It's been a while yeah? Not quite sure what makes me wanna start blogging again but I think it's a good thing so that the future me can look back at the current me and laugh at how my life is (was?) right now.
Let's talk holidays. The recent semester was so bad mainly because I have yet to recover from the previous semester's overloading of modules and overflowing regrets. I survived though, thankfully. Alhamdulillah. Immediately (8 hours) after the end of my last paper, I flew off to Krabi, Thailand with a bunch of friends for a much needed getaway. Since that's the highlight of the holidays so far, imma blog about it. #nangnakboys #krabi The trip to Krabi statisfied my need for a getaway with great people (Abu, Arif, Hadziq, and Hafidz) to further make it an enjoyable one. We flew to Krabi International Airport with Air Asia on the evening of 4 May and got back home on the 7th. All 3 days were practically packed with activities with little time for resting and plenty of room for nonsense. Don't ask why its #nangnakboys. Second day's activity was island-hopping! I had experiences island-hopping during my overseas expedition in Padang, Indonesia with Perbayu. It was an activity that suits my taste for leisure so I decided to give it a try. We signed up with an agency we saw at the airport, assisted by thai sis Rabeeyah. The package includes speedboat transfer to 3 islands + 1 lagoon, snorkeling, kayaking, and a decent lunch buffet. Everything costed us 1000 baht (around S$39) per person and 2 serious sunburns for a group of 5 (Arif and Hadziq was the most roasted among us). Overall for island-hopping, I think Krabi loses to Padang by far because of the crowd. Well it is a popular tourist spot so I figured there would be many people. And I didn't really enjoy it. I only spent around S$26 in Padang for the same activities and the same number of islands offered in Krabi. But Krabi has much more to offer for shopping and foooood! We all love food. And Krabi has glorious food. That's the highlight of the 3rd day. After doing our Friday prayers at Khlong Haeng Mosque, we hitched a ride to Ao Nang city centre where there are rows of touristy shops, seafood restaurants, push-carts, and massage parlors. We shopped, we ate, we binged on desserts, and we had a good (painful) thai massage done by I guess those are the main highlights of the short trip I had. Other small ones include breakfast-hunting, the ever-helpful Family Mart nearby our guesthouse (S$26/pax for all 3 nights), and Magnum ice-cream (not for me but for the others). Now we're planning for our next trip! |
