Being well-connected doesn't equate to being happy.That's a lesson the past few hours taught me. Sending off some friends for their overseas expedition 'accompanied' by some other friends wasn't much of a fun thing to do when everyone else is engrossed with their exclusive networks. I would be left all alone if not for the company of another 'outcast'. This lesson is kind of a refresher course though. I went solo the recent semester with most of the time in school spent with my self. I enjoyed it to be honest. What frustrates me is witnessing people. who come complaining to me about how abandoned they are by their friends, laughing away with their exclusive groups and abandoning others around them. But it's none of my business. |
