Hungry butterflies in my stomach
Friday, November 25, 2011 3:58 PM
Yo. Much of the burden is gone now, but I can't manage a sigh of relief just yet.

This week's A level timetable wasn't bad actually. Only 2 papers this week yet I felt as tired as that during GP and Math back to back papers. Partly due to the problem I had sleeping. Another due to the fact that most of my buddies have completed their A levels- and still have the cheek to send a message through FB telling me he's done with As. Arif Tan the evil one.

To be honest, the papers this week was a blessing from Allah. Alhamdulillah, they we easier than expected :D Physics paper 3 was cooperating and Geography paper 2 was the sunshine of my day. Now I'm left with 2 MCQs (obviously science papers) and it'll be done in a while and forever InsyaAllah.

Knowing that there's a high possibility that I won't be able to commit fully to Maxima, or rather the Alumni Mentoring Committee, after my enlistment into NS saddens me. It is my dream to contribute back to Irsyad and this is the first step towards fulfilling it. Whatever it will be, InsyaAllah there'll always be opportunities for more contribution.

Gears down, spirits up. I'm ready to move beyond examinations :D:D:D Well who doesn't?

Saving lives
Saturday, November 12, 2011 5:35 PM
After 3 failed attempts at saving people's lives, I finally managed to save 3 lives today. That is by donating blood! :D

The failures were due to absence of parents' consent letter. And since I'm already 19 this month, I decided to go.

The donors today were Luqman, Alim and myself.

Here are some of my pictures

Please.

Birthdays
2:50 PM
Why are birthdays special?

Personally, I don't see birthdays as special events.

Okay I get it that we were born on that particular date. I was born on the 6th of November and the 11th of Jamadilawal. So I have 2 birthdays? Oh wait, there's the Chinese calendar, Hindu calendar...

Yes I can see that the majority celebrate birthdays which follow the Gregorian calendar, but why the extra significance compared to other calendars?

Well, I don't hate or distance myself from birthday events. No no. It's just that I don't have the drive to celebrate my birthday. And I really don't mind people wishing me birthdays because I do that in return. To me, its an instrument for socialising.

What? It has started?

Psssh. I can't believe that A levels has already begun. Partly because I'm still as lazy as the Harith during prelim periods, and also due to the fact that too many prelims and mock exams make A levels look like, ummm, unimportant? Yeah. That 'oh-i'll-be-more-prepared-for-the-upcoming-exam' mentality. Wake up wake up Harith, stop snoozing.

Any which way, today is 11/11/11, a Friday and the day I sentence my Math notes to a 2-year imprisonment in the drawer. Muhahahaha! Well it wasn't that bad actually. Only paper 1 caught everyone, I really mean everyone, by surprise. I knew that looking at trends doesn't help much. Paper 2 was a fart- similar to a breeze only that you have to force it out. Hahahha ew?

As for GP, I'm sure many would agree that Cambridge is being very kind in paper 2 but I don't get the joke of not putting up religion and poverty questions in paper 1. Well, whatever. Broader Perspective and Newsweek issues are spending their second day in the drawer.

I already have 2 grades in my pocket.
