Precious midnight oil
Tuesday, September 20, 2011 1:00 PM
"Don't burn your midnight oil." That's what I always get from people giving advice on preparations for exams. "Ah I think I'll be able to manage." That's what I will always reply (silenty of course).

Since secondary school, I have never faced any difficulties doing exams after burning through the night, revising or doing anything else. Until today.

Today was Geography paper 2. Though I always revise more for physical than human geography, I will always score better for the latter. Never fail to do so since human geography questions are considerably more open-ended. You can bull your way through - with the right skills of course.

However, this time, it was different. Case studies betrayed my memory and I had to spend the whole midnight uploading them back. It wasn't so bad I guessed. And well, I guessed wrong.

This morning after Sahur, I felt awfully tired that I fell asleep within seconds after I lay down on my bed. Long story short, I felt sleepy and dizzy while writing about some population projection thingy and all the TNC stuffs.

That serves as a lesson. Or lessons I suppose:-
- Revise early. Don't procrastinate (a reminder time and time again).
- DON'T BURN THE MIDNIGHT OIL (unless Im living in a kampung without electricity.

To Maryam (if you're reading this): To me, beauty is legilibity :) hahaha. And I manage to finish paper 2 with a handwriting of constant flawless beauty. Please put up a tag. That's your homework for the week.

I'm facing serious deprivation.
