Academic or Ukhrawi

Attended the parent teacher meeting for the Sec 5 students today. It was held in the MPR. I was there to receive the SmartLab award thingy. Improvements from Sec 4 grade in Elemental Maths. What I gained from the shraing session is about deciding wether to continue in Ukhrawi or Academic studies. For those who already decided to plunge themselves into the Academics only, or Ukhrawi only, then there's no problem as far as I'm concerned. But for people like me, who want to have both Ukhrawi and Academic knowledge, there will definitely be a crucial decision in the making.I was told, that in order to have a balance in both Ukhrawi and Academics, we are recommended to do Ukhrawi first as it is the basics of our life. And breaking the journey by going to JC or poly, is not a good thing. BUT, although I am now in JC, I did not break that connection to Ukhrawi studies. Alhamdulillah, Im still continuing my tahfiz. Alhamdulillah, I have learned very much about what Muslim guys that have no religious background think about Islam. They have the interest in knowing about Islam, but they either dont know where to go, shy or because of other reasons. So, Im am clear that in JC, I play the role of sharing what I have learnt in Irsyad. Alhamdulillah, I see many Muslim guys, that didnt attend Friday prayers the week before, approached me and Arif, asking wether are we going or not. So that shows, that we have an important role to play. For those who dont know, I am planning to continue in my Ukhrawi studies after having a stable job using my Academics. Thats a good thing I guess? InsyaAllah. Allahu Hafiiz. |
